The primary goal of the ILO International Labour Office, is to contribute, with member States, to achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all, including women and young people, a goal embedded in the ILO Declaration 2008 on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization, and which has now been widely adopted by the international community. The paper discusses the main economic and labour market issues and implications related to population ageing in China and presents an overview of current policy responses. |
